You want that stuff? You have to play that season. What I mean by that is, drop a whole bunch of planets/areas/whatever they're called in a given season (think of the map in Fortnite) and have enemies and armor and activities for that given seasonal period. Instead of releasing big paid pieces of content that then do or do not disappear, I actually think they should look to battle royale games (hear me out!) in how they handle their seasons. That's as far as any content removal will now go, though, as Bungie pledges to keep Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen playable forever.
A number of locations, raids, and activities were also taken out of the game. The Red War campaign, Warmind, Curse of Osiris, and Forsaken were all placed into the Destiny Content Vault as a result. Over the past few years, Bungie has removed a number of paid DLCs - making them no longer playable to anyone - because the game grew to a point where it was difficult to implement new content.
